Dear Parents/Guardians,

You may be aware from media reports that some Ontario public school teachers’ federations are participating in legal strike action, which is scheduled in the coming days for some public school boards.  I want to clarify that our Catholic schools are not affected.   

Teachers at St. Clair Catholic are represented by the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA).  Under provincial law, OECTA is required to give the Board five days’ notice before any legal full withdrawal of services (full strike action) can be taken.  As of today, no such notice of any further full strike action has been received.

Should the Board receive notification of a legal full withdrawal of services (full strike action) you will be notified by direct email, Edsby notifications, on the Board’s website at www.st-clair.net and through our Facebook and Twitter platforms.
