St. Angela Merici Information Highlights:

  • School opened September 2020.
  • If you registered your child for Kindergarten at your home school (OLOF, St. Vincent, St. Agnes) you are automatically registered to attend St. Angela Merici in September 2020.
  • If you missed the kinderSTARt event at your home school don't worry!  You still have time to register for Kindergarten beginning in September 2020.  Submit a registration online at or call your home school to arrange an appointment.
  • All students currently enrolled in the home schools (Grades JK to 7) will automatically transfer to St. Angela Merici in September 2020.
  • Opening and Blessing Mass on Thursday, September 10, 2020
  • An opportunity for students and parents to visit the new school will be arranged sometime prior to September 2020.  Families will receive further communications regarding all school transition events.

Three students have been selected to form a news team that provides regular updates on the progress of construction of the new St. Angela Merici Catholic School, which is scheduled to open in September 2020. This innovative communications initiative not only delivers regular updates on the project to the community, but also provides a tremendous experiential learning opportunity for our students. On Tuesday, August 29, 2017 the Board of Trustees voted to approve the location of the new Catholic elementary school for north Chatham.

On June 19, 2017 the Ontario Ministry of Education announced that $26.7 million in funding had been approved to build two new Catholic elementary schools in Chatham, as a result of the recommendation of the Pupil Accommodation Review Committee, which was approved by the Board of Trustees in March 2017.
