Have you ever really wanted to participate in a sport but you weren't tall enough, strong enough, fast enough, too big or too small? In wrestling, none of that matters. No matter how you've been created, there inside you lives the potential to do something unique and succeed. The only things you need to qualify to wrestle is your determination and your ability to improve. Tryouts are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday next week. Drop by room 306 to sign up with Mr. Parent.
Good teams win games. Great teams win them with their backs against the wall and everything on the line. The junior boys soccer team won their LKSSAA championship last night in exciting fashion, beating St. Pat's. After going down a goal for the first time all season, the lancer boys fought hard creating chances and MJ Cato rang one off the bar late and it did not look like it would be their day. Nolan D., made 3 game saving saves to keep the Lancers in it. In the 90th minute the Lancers would finally strike back after hard work from Ben B., who was taken out in the box for a penalty shot. Emerson A., would step up with the season on the line and calmly smash the ball home to send the game into extra time. In extra time, the Lancers would take it to the Irish, and a few minutes into extra time, and after a slick give and go, Miles C., would play the hero and bury the championship winning goal. Mr. Wright and Mr. Foster are so proud of all the efforts from the boys this season. Goooo Lancers!!!!
