Way to go Lancers! We certainly scared hunger last night! What an amazing accomplishment! As you walk through the main hallway today, take a moment to feel Lancer proud! Although we did not complete all 60 routes, we somehow managed to collect more food for Outreach for Hunger than we did last year. Many people will be fed because of the love, service and generosity of others. Both our school community and our Chatham community came through. Many Thanks to UCC Cares and everyone who took part in Lancers Scare Hunger last night.
Yesterday, our Lancer Rugby 7's team had their final tournament in London. The team fought hard in round robin going undefeated, making it to the finals. The Lancers finished second place, and this tournament showcased all that these athletes have accomplished this year. The lancers managed to outscore their opponents 145 to 60 in the tournament, with 9 trys by Isabella G, 6 trys by Audrey G, 4 by Victoria M, 3 by Faith H, 2 by Morgan K and one for Naya H, Tara W, and Kaija B. All athletes on the team had a fantastic season, and Mr. Phaneuf and Miss Balkwill are so proud of them.
Student Council would like to thank everyone who participated in yesterday's Halloween events. Keep an eye out for QR codes around the school on bulletin boards, in the Lancer Commons, and in the caf to vote for which hallway you think was best decorated!
Eclectic Java 16 is happening this Friday! Come see some of your favourite UCC musicians perform in a coffee house setting this Friday at 7:30 in the Lancer Commons. Free food and drink are provided for all. If you’re going to the fashion show, stop by afterwards. It’s all pretty casual, and you’re welcome to show up any time.
Rosary will take place in the chapel today at the beginning of both lunches. Bring your intentions and a friend! All staff and students are invited to come out and pray with us.
