Let’s make Monday a little brighter!

Hope you are ready to air dribble, flick, flip, pinch and double jump yourself to be the champion in this fast paced competitive game.

The next Coffee House show is coming up soon. It’s time to start practicing now! Eclectic Java 22 will be in February. Auditions are in a few weeks.

Congratulations to our Junior Girls Volleyball Team on taking first place and sweeping the competition at the tournament in Mississauga last Friday! The team dominated the day with great energy, teamwork, and determination on their way to a championship finish.

A special shoutout to our tournament lucky charm, Logyn M., who delivered some killer swings and great defense when it mattered most.

And congratulations to Emmerson D., who was named MVP of the tournament after stepping into a new position without any practice and delivering an outstanding defensive performance!

Great job, ladies !

The Jr. Boys basketball team had a great weekend winning the Consolation side of the bracket! They started off playing against a strong team, Stratford District. They didn't get the result they wanted, but fought till the final buzzer and played their best with the final score being 57- 40. On Saturday, they dominated both of their games against CK, winning 78-33 and Lo-Ellen winning 66-42. Big shoutout to Logan P., for his great rebounds!

Come support the boys tonight at 5:30, as they play against Great Lakes at the Lancer Dome!

The UCC Girls Volleyball tournament team competed in the McGregor invitational this past Friday

The girls completed pool play in first place but lost a tough semi-final to finish in third place. Players of the tournament were Natalie L., Hailey V., and Lila Cooper. The team is reminded of practice today at 230

The senior boys basketball team travelled to Toronto this past weekend and won their second tournament of the season. They started off by defeating the home team in front of a hostile buyout crowd thanks to the major contributions of Sam C. They then won two more games before defeating one of the best teams in Toronto, Etobicoke Collegiate, in the finals. Tezmond H., and Jon F., were tournament all stars and Gibson D., was Tournament MVP. The boys take on Great Lakes tonight at 7:00 at UCC

What did Mrs. Woods say to the student checking out 50 books? Don't overdue it! Remember to return your library books to the Lancer Commons as quickly as possible.

Games club is cancelled this week and we will meet back up after final exams. See you semester 2.

21 members of the wrestling squad battled in Sarnia on Saturday against 470 athletes from 41 other teams at what is known as a mini-OFSAA, where competition is tough. UCC took a respectable 14 place finish. We suffered a few injuries and some unexpected losses but hopefully will be back healthy and strong in no time. Our sole Gold medalist was Ayden B. Silver medals were clinched up by vets Paige S., and Dean R., and novice Alex D. Carter M., doubled his way to a Bronze medal. Honourable mentions to Ben E., and Landyn B., on their 4th place finishes. Way to go wrestlers, the coaching staff are very proud of your performances! Practice continues this week, check the Google classroom for the locations.

The Weigh Room will be closed until January 14.
