The Reach for the Top Competitive Trivia teams will start up next week.  The Junior Team, for students in Grades 9 and 10, practises on Tuesdays after school in Room 605.  The Senior Team, for students in Grades 11 and 12, practises on Thursdays after school in Room 605.  For more information, see Mr. Broadbent or Mr. Estoesta.(2)

All UCC Lancer students must pay online now in order to be able to dress down for future Dressdown Days at UCC. Students who do not pay online cannot dress down. The ticket online allows you to dress down for all future dress down days for the 2018/19 school year. Please go online and purchase it, and you will receive it during Student Card distribution. SHAD is a summer program where students spend July living at a university while engaging in hands-on learning in Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, Math and Entrepreneurship.  SHAD is looking for Grade 10, 11 or 12 students who are involved in their communities, are creative and keen learners.  For more information, see Mr. Estoesta in Guidance.(3)

Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers to help with the Family FALL FESTIVAL on Saturday, October 14th at Chatham Christian High School.  Help out with face painting, crafts, games, entertainment, geocaching, food, prizes and more.  See the posting in the guidance foyer for more information.  (4)

The boys golf team competed at SWOSSA yesterday and finished in 2nd place. Garret Day will move on to OFFSSA next week with his 2nd place individual finish at even par 72. (3)

As the result of a problem in the library computer system our library program had to be reset back to last Friday which means any transactions since that time will not be accounted for.

If you borrowed a book, returned a book or renewed a book on Monday or Tuesday before the system went down, we ask that you check in at the library asap to make sure the correct information is in the system. (3)

On behalf of the Indigenous Leadership of UCC we want to thank the almost 600 students who came to the theatre yesterday to learn about residential schools and hear Susie Jones speak as well as White Lightning Clark drum. For all those wearing orange we thank you. Also thanks goes out to the over 30 teachers in attendance who volunteered their class time in recognition of this day. Lastly to Mrs. Murphy's class who supported the groups initiatives to help decorate our hallways to bring awareness to our history. W encourage the continues support as we move through our school year and into the future. (3)

Attention all theatre lovers! Do you want to take part of a life changing drama experience with a small group of people who share your love? Do you want to compete against other schools and meet some awesome friends from around the province? 

Come be a part of the National Theatre School Drama Festival, previously known as the Sears Drama Festival! Student acted, student directed. We will be performing ‘Tracks’ by Peter Tarsi. Sign up sheets are up NOW in front of the office! Grab an audition packet and sign up! Auditions will be held after school in the theatre on Oct 10th and 11th.
