Lancer Vision Flashback will be running a special Christmas special that includes samples from many of the Flashback segments run October, November and December. Flashback will run the first 30 Minutes of Period 4 for the grade 9-10's to watch while waiting to go to the Theatre and a similar show the last 30 Minutes for the 11-12's. This is a reminder from Student Council that tonight is our Senior Semi-formal at the Retro Suites from 6-9pm. Remember to bring your student ID's as you check in at the door. Additionally, please keep in mind that you are representing the UCC community and that any unruly behaviour will not be tolerated. This is meant to be a fun night for everyone as we head into the Christmas break so play your part in ensuring that everything goes smoothly. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
It's finally here Lancers! Game day! Come on out to Memorial tonight at 2:30 to check out the action as this year's boys hockey team tries breaking their losing skid against the UCC alumni all-stars! Admission is free and you will be entertained by the many talents of alumni such as Shayne “the sniper” Steel, Steve “the hitman” Justin H., “bar down” Will B., “the thrill” Jordan T.,“chip and never chase” King and Tyler “the net crasher” Pinsonneault. Get there early for the pregame autograph session and the player Q and A. Don’t forget to bring your toonie for the chuck a puck during the second intermission. See you there!
The Junior Girls Volleyball Team dominated their league night yesterday at CK. The ladies won their split against CK, winning their second set 25 to 17. The Wallaceburg Tartans were defeated last night as well by this stellar team. The ladies are ranked first in their league! Excellent work cooking last night ladies, way to bring home that Christmas dinner! Mr. Teeuwen, Mrs. Bos, Mrs. Koelher and Mr. Biskey are very proud!
Reminder that right after announcements the elf on the shelf scavenger hunt will begin. Those participating are asked to be back in class by 8:35, and the first class to e-mail Mr. Armstrong with a photo of where the elf is located will be the winner.
The senior girls volleyball team headed to WDSS last night for their second league night of the season. The entire team played extremely tough offence and defence, destroying WDSS and winning the split against CKSS. The team sits 11-1 and first place going into the Christmas break. MVP of the night was Autumn F., for her fantastic serves and kills. Congratulations ladies - Mr. Phaneuf and Mrs. Sanford are so proud of you!
