Congratulations to the UCC senior badminton team. All members of the team should be proud of their amazing play yesterday at the Kent Finals at JMSS. Of 16 players, 12 are moving onto the next competition in Sarnia. Aidan A finished 6th in a tough singles bracket. Congrats to girls doubles team, Gillian W and Kylie B for their 3rd place finish, Andrew G and Reece C lost in a tough mixed doubles finals ending up in second place. Samantha L captured the girls singles title. The boys doubles finals was an all UCC affair with Kurt and Jack C finishing second to Seb and Nico M in a 2 match epic battle. And finally Ethan V outlasted the JMSS player in a 1 hour long boys singles final overcoming personal injury and fatigue to finish in first place. Well done lancers. There will be no practice today. All members of the team are welcome to practice on Thursday at 4pm.
