Hi Lancers! UCC is starting up the Dead Battery Recycling Collection once again. All dead batteries accepted! Primary or rechargeable, alkaline or lithium, batteries from phones, gaming controllers, watches, flashlights and power tools. Did you know that we recycled over 154 lbs of battery waste during the last collection! That’s amazing! Let’s keep moving forward with redirecting toxic waste. Don't let the world suffer by the release of heavy metals into our soils and waterways. No need to put these in the trash - bring them to us! Stop by the science floor, specifically room 909 for the battery drop off station.

The Lancers continued their winning ways on the baseball diamond with a 12-2 win against Wallaceburg. Jacob W was outstanding pitching four shutout innings, striking out 9 batters. Key contributors also came from Sam K and Brad O.
UCC was well represented at LKSSAA south tennis this week. All players are to commended for their effort and sportsmanship. Special mention to those players moving on include, Mary B and Samantha L, 1st in Girls Doubles, Tom B and Andrew G, 2nd in Boys Doubles, Jocelin H, 3rd in Girls singles, Reese C and Elliot V, 4th in mixed, and Jack S, 4th in Boys Singles. Congratulations and good luck at LKSSAA finals in October.
