The Senior Boys Soccer team are LKSSAA champions! The boys won their game over St. Pats in dramatic fashion in a penalty shoot out, avenging their loss to St Pats last year which also went to penalties. Despite carrying the play, the boys went down 1-0 in the first half. Needing a goal to keep their season alive, Nick H who had just came in as a sub, buried a goal to level the game up at 1-1. The Lancers would out chance St Pats, but regulation and extra time would solve nothing and it would go to penalty kicks. Nelson D stepped up in one of the most legendary performances ever by a Lancer. He was subbed into net for the penalty shootout after playing out all game, would take the first penalty and score, then he would save 3 of 5 St Pats shots, including the last one to prevent the shootout from going to extra shooters. Rees E and Ethan W also scored their pks for the Lancers. The Lancers take on Villanova at home tomorrow in the SWOSSAA finals to see who goes to OFSAA, so come on out and support. Gooo Lancers!!!
