The Ursuline Track and Field team competed at SWOSSAA the past two days. Here are the highlights of the meet. Emma N. won the junior girls discus just missing the SWOSSAA record set in 1998. Emma also won the shot put. CJ R. was 1st in the junior boys long jump, high jump and 2nd in the triple jump. Alyssa C. was 1st in junior girls high jump. Lily B. was 1st in novice girls triple jump, 2nd in high jump, 3rd in the 100m, Gavin M. was 3rd in the senior boys 400m. Griffin K. was 4th in the senior boys javelin. Rowan G. was 4th in the senior girls javelin(with a broken toe). Addisyn V. was 4th in the senior girls discus. Deacon D. was 5th in the novice boys 100m. DJ D.-P. was 6th in the senior boys 400m, 4th in long jump. Alex W. was 6th in the novice boys 400m. The novice girls 4x100 relay team made up of Maya D., Alexis H.-L., Ava L. and Lily B. were 5th. And the senior boys 4x100m relay team made up of DJ D.-P., Aidan S., Gavin M. and Brendan S. were 5th (beating CK for the first time this year) All of these athletes qualified for the OFSAA regional meet at the University of Windsor next week. Congratulations to all competitors on a great season and good luck to all of those who are moving on to OFSSA.

The girls slo pitch team had an action packed week, winning all three games that they played. This included an 8-2 win against JMSS, a 13-4 win against CKSS, and a 16-1 domination of Ridgetown. Special shoutouts go to Brooke "Shotime" R. for her stellar pitching performances as well as getting the job done in the batter's box, Sierra L. for several mind blowing defensive plays, and Stella N. for some clutch hits. The girls finished first place in LKSSAA South and have secured a spot in the LKSSAA semifinals in Monday's playoffs. Mr. Bedard, Miss Natyshak, and Mr. Armstrong are very proud!

There is a championship double header tonight after school on the Lancer field. The Senior boys take on Northern at 2:30pm, followed by the girls who also take on Sarnia Northern with kickoff around 4pm. Come on out and support the Lancers in this LKSSAA championship!!! Goooo Lancers!!!
