The UCC Girls Volleyball Tournament team played in the Mentor College Invitational in Mississauga on Friday. The girls faced some difficult competition early in the tournament but battled to a 4 & 2 record, winning the 'B' championship, beating the likes of Ridley College and Appleby College along the way. Players of the tournament were Layla C., Jersey G., Scarlett C., and tournament MVP Logyn M. Congratulations girls!

The Junior Girls Volleyball Team came, saw and conquered their tournament at CK on Saturday! The ladies were an unstoppable force dominating each team they came up against only losing one close set in pool play to Sandwich. They battled the hawks on their home court in the finals and came out tournament champs for the second year in a row! Congratulations to "Chlo Rider" Chloe V., for her excellent performance on the court and for her leadership skills. Special shout out goes to "Stylie" Rylie O., for her impressive blocks and attacks. Great work ladies, Mrs. Bos, Ms. Peats and Mr. Biskey are very proud of you. Way to cook, lancers!

This past Saturday the UCC wrestlers fought at Riverside High school in Windsor. 13 wrestlers competed and 9 snatched up medals. A. B. grappled hard to earn a gold medal. Aurora W., Hunter H., Matthew L., Paige S., Landyn B., and Emmanuella C., pinned down silver medals. Julianna D., and Anthony P., battled hard to bring home bronze medals. Honourable mention to Zach C., grade 10, he wrestled at a higher weight category then he usually does. Zach had a very close bronze medal match against a grade 12 wrestler but ended up with a 4th place finish out of 18.

Congrats to all wrestlers, you represent UCC well. Wish the wrestlers luck as they will travel up highway 40 to st pats next weekend for their last tournament and one of the toughest so far, before regional championships in February.

Games Club running tomorrow in room 103 at 2:30. Be there!

The senior boys basketball team had a successful weekend earning the bronze medal in Toronto. The Magician, DJ Phillip worked on a few new magic tricks while Taye H., and Nathan V., scored at will. The boys have a big week as they travel to St Pats on Tuesday and host Northern on Thursday to decide first place in the league.
