UCC Wellness Committee Welcomes all new students to UCC, as well as those returning for another year. The UCC Wellness Committee meets every other week to promote well-being and plan activities throughout the school year. Our main event is the daily activities for the Mental Health Week in May. If you are interested in joining the committee, please sign up on one of the two sign-up sheets. The sign-up sheets are located by the well-being board next to the main office and outside the main cafeteria next to the chalk board. The Junior Girls Basketball Team dominated at the Conestoga Invitational Tournament this past weekend with aggressive defence and amazing offensive efficiency winning their first two games by over 30 points. In the championship game they defeated Resurrection high school in a hard fought game to take the Championship. Please congratulate the girls today who will be wearing their tournament T-shirts in recognition of their outstanding efforts. (17)

Attention grade 12 students with period 4 spare: Anne Marie Myers of the Guinness World Record Committee is looking for volunteers to help break old World Records at the International Plowing Match beginning Tuesday, September 18th. On Tuesday at 2pm there will be an egg and spoon race. The record is 1700 people. Volunteers are needed to help distribute and collect the eggs after the race. If you are available and want to be part of a world record and history, then go to the IPM today after school to do a dry run for Tuesday's event. The location is 7579 Pain Court Line.
