Today all across Canada is Pink Shirt Day, a day dedicated to standing up against bullying and promoting kindness. As members of the Catholic community, we are called to love and respect all people, just as Jesus taught us. In Matthew 22:39, Jesus says, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” By embracing compassion and understanding, we can create a school where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected.
Let us remember the words of St. Francis of Assisi: "Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible." 1 Let's start with kindness, and together, we can create a more compassionate and loving community, reflecting the love of Christ in all that we do.
Hey, have you seen these containers around the school with Andrea's picture on them? They're part of a special project to help our amazing student, Andrea Chef! Andrea is a 17-year-old here at Ursuline College who has Angelman's syndrome, which affects her small motor skills. She’s hoping to acquire a pediatric bicycle so she can ride alongside her brothers and sister, and we need your help to make that happen!
We’re collecting aluminum pop can tabs, which will be donated to fund the purchase of her specialized bike. Every tab you contribute brings Andrea one step closer to reaching her goal.
You’ll find containers to drop off your tabs in the cafeteria, Lancer Annex, main office, all staff rooms, guidance, and the LifeSkills room.
Let’s come together as a community to help Andrea make her dream of biking with her family come true! Thank you for your support!

The girls hockey team played in the LKSSAA finals last night against CKSS. The girls would go down a goal in the second period but tied the game up on a goal by Ari H., in the third, and despite out-chancing their opponents, regulation time would solve nothing. In overtime the girls outplayed CK, but could not find the breakthrough goal, and would lose a heartbreaker with 1.5 mins left in OT. Mr. Wright, Mrs. Balkwill and Mr. King are so proud of the girls for their effort this season. A special shout out goes to our graduating players, Laryn A., Addison A., Dalia B., Hannah B., Ella D., Arionna H., and Natalie "JYD" Jones.
Badminton tryouts continue tonight; starting with all girls at 5:30 followed by boys at 6:15. Tryouts will continue tomorrow and next week. Message coaches if you cannot attend.
