The Senior boys basketball team’s season came to an end Tuesday night in the quarter finals of Ofsaa. The boys played fearlessly against Toronto’s Oakwood but came up short in the end losing 62-60. The team had 3 attempts to tie or take the lead in the final 30 seconds but just couldn’t capitalize. Their coaches can’t fully express how proud they are of them. And the team also wants to thank all the Lancer faithful who cheered together in their classrooms, the theatre and their homes.

5 Wrestlers were in Kitchener the past 3 days battling for OFSAA titles. Hunter H., and Aurora W., both grade 9's, each convincingly won one match. Paige S., threw down hard as she beat the top seed in her first match and continued to win two more matches to end up in the top twelve. Ayden B., won an impressive 5 matches to secure a hold on an OFSSAA antique bronze! One of the highlights of the tournament was Emmanuella C. After a rough loss in her first match, she continued to win, win and win again.

She ended up facing her original opponent, to which she originally fell short to. Emmanuella meant business this time with an amazing blast double and tight pin to win her bronze medal match. Congrats to all the OFSAA wrestlers! Way to go the entire team for all the wins, some tough losses and more importantly keep hold of the lessons learned. Train hard and never give up! Mr. Parent is very proud of those who were brave enough to step in the ring this season. Wash your singlets and get them back to me ASAP. You will owe me pushups if I don't get them back by Friday!!
