The senior boys basketball team won their FIRST Lambton Kent Title this past Saturday. After a back and forth 1st half, the Lancers found some magic mid way through the 3rd quarter and pull ahead by 10. The game went back and forth but Lancers never reliquinshed their lead. Evan M played exceptionally well in the last home game of his career scoring 16 points and pulling down 16 rebounds. Cody B played well on both ends of the floor and chipped in with 13 points while Evan T had his best game of the year scoring 11 points and playing exceptional defense. The game MVP was Spencer D who scored 15 points in the game but more importantly played exceptional defense on Northerns outstanding guard holding him to only 6 points in the 2nd half after scoring 17 in the 1st.
The season is far from over for this talented team as they travel down the 401 next Wednesday to face the Windsor champions which is yet to be decided. The teams wants to send out an extra thank you to all the staff and students who came out to watch the championship game.
