Are you a high school student passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? Do you enjoy teaching, mentoring, or working with children and community organizations? Then consider joining the Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program in Non-Profit, Education, and Childcare.

If you are in grade 11 or 12 and would like to earn valuable industry-recognized certifications such as First Aid and CPR, participate in hands-on experience in a real workplace environment, learn from professionals in the field, visit college or university programs, and obtain a special red seal on your high school diploma, then this is the program for you!

Stop by Room 608, during your lunch, this Thursday, to learn more about the Nonprofit, Education, and Childcare Program. You may also speak with Mrs. Dudics, or Mr. Dula for more details.

 

Attention to Grade 11 students who have joined or are interested in joining the Health and Wellness SHSM. There will be a informational meeting this Thursday during grade 11 lunch in room 506. Please do your best to attend!

 

The Fanshawe and St. Clair presentations have been cancelled for this week due to the ongoing strike at Ontario colleges.

The senior girls basketball fell short in their league game against Northern last night. Kinsey C., led the team with 20 points & Daphne N., had 17. Building for the next one. Go Lancers.

 

Listen up Lancers, there is some very exciting and historic news coming your way. After great deliberation and debate Mr. Dula and Mrs. Fernandes have decided on this years entry into the NTS Festival. CONGRATULATIONS goes out to MIA L.,! MIA's one act play has been selected for the National Theatre School Drama Festival

But that’s not all…

For the first time in history UCCs NTS play will have its first-ever student dramaturg! Congratulations goes out to Malachi Smith for being chosen for this role.

This is a huge moment and partnership for UCC drama, and we couldn’t be prouder. Let’s give them a round of applause as they make history!

Tech auditions are tonight in the booth, the audition workshop is this Thursday after school and the fun continues into next week with auditions both Tuesday and Thursday !

 

The Junior boys soccer team take on the Northern Vikings after school today at home, kickoff is at 3:30 pm. Come on out and support the boys! Goooo Lancers!!!
