The UCC Tennis team came to play at the LKSSAA Tournament in Sarnia yesterday! The boys doubles team of Ethan T., and Jackson T., fought hard for a 3rd place title while Molly C., secured 2nd place in girls singles. Our other lady lancers doubles team of Johyna V., and Abigail P., battled it out and placed 5th overall. A special shout out goes to our others singles players, Johnathan C., and Kaylin T., for their incredible grit and games. The Lancers will make their way to SWOSSA next week. Great job athletes, Mr. Evans and Mr. Biskey are so proud!
The Junior boys soccer team headed to Petrolia last night and defeated LCCVI 7-0.
Mace M., got the lancers started, calmly slotting home from the penalty spot. Maverick Z., and Travis S., would both add goals from distance to make it 3-0 at half. Stickney would add a second at the beginning of the half, and MJ C., buried again to keep his scoring streak alive at 5 games. Kane J., soared like an eagle to get up to put in a towering header from a corner kick. Tommy G., finished the game off with a 30 yard strike. Nolan D., made a few big saves in his way to the shutout. The Lancers take on St Pats at home next Tuesday for their final game of the regular season. Gooo Lancers!!!
