Lancers, we have a mission for you! Canadian Food for Children is in need of school supplies and we are asking you to help us gather these for them. We will have a school supply drive running from May 3-May 17 so bring in all those gently used or brand new school supplies to any of your classes and they will be collected to help many children in need.
This week UCC celebrates Mental Health Week. So what is mental health? Mental health is not simply the absence of mental illness. It is a positive state. It is the state of being able to feel, think and act in ways that enhance our ability to enjoy life and deal with the challenges we face. Take some time today to find the little things that enhance your life and bring joy to the simple moments.
Students from across the school are spreading the news about modesty, their goal is to create an environment where students can reflect on their decisions and enjoy a sweet treat in the Cafeteria on Thursday and Friday during the grade 10 lunch. Students will be given the opportunity to take the time out of their busy school life and reflect on themselves with an interactive activity, students will write answers to the following prompts of their choice How Does Modesty Impact Your Life? What Is Modesty To You? How Can You Be Modest With Others? Students will also have the chance to enjoy a self-reflection activity with the help of questions and mirrors! The event is going to be held during the grade 10 lunch in the cafeteria on Thursday May 11th and Friday May 12th, any students that can attend are welcome for self-improvement and a sweet treat!
