A quick reminder for period 2 teachers - Mr. McCabe's Biology class will be around to collect your cash donations for Ronald McDonald House. The class who donates the most will get the opportunity to restyle Mr. McCabe's hair and beard. Ohhh the possibilities! Thanks so much for your support.

UCC students, today is day 3 of Mental Health week. Did you know we can move our mood by moving our bodies? Regular moderate physical activity helps to ease tension, improve quality of sleep, and increase self-esteem. Exercise also releases dopamine, a feel good chemical in our brain. Today, get creative in how you include movement into your day. Pay attention to how you feel before, then notice if movement changes your mood in a positive way.

Just a reminder Lancers, Thursday May 11th and Friday May 12th is the self reflection Modesty activity during the grade 10 lunch in the Cafeteria! We hope that all the grade 10 students have been reflecting on their dress, speech and behavior. This activity is meant to allow grade 10 students and any other students that can attend to reflect on their actions and decisions they make about their dress, speech and behavior. The prompts to help you before attending this event are How Does Modesty Impact Your Life? What is Modesty To You? And How Can You Be Modest Toward Others? Have a great day Lancers, and make sure you start reflecting and earn yourself personal improvement and a sweet treat!

The boys rugby team met heads with St. Pats and Great Lakes last night on the Lancer field. Tries were made by Jared L after a long sideline run and Landon B with his brute force after pushing his way through what seemed like half of the St. Pats team. Our boys lost both games but this is the best result we've had against St. Pats yet losing 2 to 4 tries. Keep up the good work guys, you make UCC, Lancer Proud!

This is a reminder that the last softball tryout is today from 2:30-4:00 at Percy Park. Please see Mrs. Koehler in room 303 if you have any questions or reach out to any of the other coaches.
