The Boys hockey team finished first in their pool in the 2023 Canlan Christmas Classic. Not only did they outscore their pool pals 23-2, but the boys came together as a group. Inspired by Mr. Wright's karaoke show, the boys played tough in the finals in a back and forth affair. The boys showed tenacity in protecting one another in vulnerable spots and played hard to the finish, unfortunately losing by 1. The Boys look to ride the momentum into their league game Monday against the yellow birds.

Advent Call to Action
Hey Lancers, my name is Jacob and I'm a grade 12 student. Have you heard about our Advent Call to Action? We are doing a donation drive to help the homeless and those in need in Chatham Kent. We are collecting socks, mittens, and gloves and we need your help to do it. Our goal is to collect fifteen hundred items before the break. For the good services done, the class who brings in the most items will receive a prize. With your help we can do our best to aid those in need and show that UCC can show up to help a good cause. When you are finishing your Christmas shopping this weekend, remember to buy one extra pair of socks, gloves or mittens. Let's Go Lancers!
A reminder to all UCC Cares members, next Wednesday we will be hosting our annual Christmas Outreach Dinner after school. Please speak with Mrs. Dudics or Mrs. Pearson if you would like to bake and bring in a dessert.
