The jr girls basketball team had some more bbq chicken this weekend as they won their second tournament of the season. The championship game was an absolute battle and Alyssa Lee H., was the game MVP. After falling behind 18-4 the Lancers charged back to take a 31-28 lead at half. But the team found themselves down by 11 with just under 3 minutes to go. Daphne N., responded by knocking down a couple 3s and Kinsey C., nailed two freethrows with 20 seconds left to tie the game. And Alyssa Lee H’s lay up with 8 seconds left gave the Lancers their first lead of the game. The team plays Northern at home tomorrow and at CK on Thursday.
