This week marks the beginning of our annual Advent - Wrapped in Warmth Campaign! The first week of Advent is all about Hope, and we are turning that hope into action by helping our community stay warm this winter. Our focus for the next three weeks is collecting Warmth Items. Please bring in new or gently used winter coats. hoodies, scarves, hats, gloves, socks, and blankets. These simple items can make a huge difference in someone's life when the temperature drops. Collections will happen on Fridays during Period 4. Let’s share our hope and generosity by ensuring everyone in our community stays warm. Thank you for participating!

ATTENTION YEARBOOKS are now on sale for $40. Copies are limited. Don't miss out. They will be sold until Feb. 28th. Go to school cash on-line to reserve your copy. Please note they will only arrive at the beginning of September in order to capture the entire school year!

The fall super smash bros season ended this weekend with three of UCCs very own esports students qualifying for this semester’s provincial championships. Bryce T., Kyle J., and Mike T. competed with 29 of the province’s best players on Saturday and we are pleased to announce that Bryce T. is now officially the second best Super Smash Bros player in the province, according to Ontario School Esports Association, a provincial affiliate of Esport Canada. Let me repeat that for all the students pushing clash right now under their desks. Bryce T. got SECOND in the entire province. Why is that actually tuff? More esports coming in the new year

We get knocked down but we get up again! 20 wrestlers had 73 fights at the UWO tournament on Sunday. It was a ruff and tuff one but we managed to bring home some precious medals. Chris D. was our sole gold medalist. Landyn B. & Brennan D. pinned down silvers. Emmanuella C., Matt L. and Dean R. each suffered only one loss to take home bronze medals. Honourable mentions to Cam A. and Paige S. who both had great bouts to take home a respectable 4th place finish. Wish the squad well as they travel up to North Lambton tomorrow.

The senior boys basketball team captured 3rd place this past weekend in Windsor. The team improved with each game and looked like a well oiled machine by the end of the tournament. Taye H. was selected as a tournament all-star. The team opens the regular season on Wednesday at home against st pats. Tip off is at 7:00.
