Learning at Home

A Message From Mr. Power To Our Parents/Guardians

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Although it has been an unusual March Break to say the least, I hope it was still restful and enjoyable for you and your family.

Please know that during the closure period, our school is planning ways to try to support student learning at home.  In the upcoming days you can expect to receive additional information and resources from our school. As referenced in Director of Education Deb Crawford’s March 21, 2020 letter, the Ontario government has established a new web portal to help students stay on top of their learning.  The new portal is called Learn At Home and you can find it at https://www.ontario.ca/page/learn-at-home

One of our first steps is to assess whether there are families that require devices to support your child’s learning.  If you have access to wifi but are in need of a Chromebook during the school closure, please contact me via email (ray.power@st-clair.net) by Wednesday March 25th.

If you currently do not have access to technology or wifi please contact me via email (ray.power@st-clair.net) by Wednesday March 25th so that we can make alternate arrangements.

As a reminder, schools are currently closed until April 5th.  Should the Ontario government extend the  shutdown period, we will inform you immediately.

We pray that you are staying healthy and that you continue to follow the direction of government leaders and public health professionals, as we all work together to help prevent the spread of the virus.   For updates regarding COVID-19 and for links public health and government websites, please visit the Board website www.st-clair.net

Schools will communicate information to students and parents/guardians about the rescheduled dates.
