Do you like snacks, prizes, and beating students from other schools at tests of engineering? The Chatham-Kent Engineering Competition is back on Saturday, March 23rd! Make a group of up to 4 students to compete in a *mystery* engineering challenge. Check out the posters around the school and see Mrs. Brosseau in Room 910 to sign up.

5 wrestlers competed in Hamilton on Tuesday and Wednesday against the best in Ontario at OFSAA . The first round of wrestling brought some disappointment as 4 of them lost their first fights. But three of them came back to win again on the consolation side. UCC had 3 wrestlers literally push their way through to the 2nd day of competition. Ayden Brown battled some monsters that were trying to push him around, but Ayden used a couple shoulder throws to level the giants to the mat! The highlight for UCC was Alyssa C., dominating her first 3 matches, then after losing in the semifinals to the #2 seed, Alyssa beat the #3 seed to then fight for the 3rd in finals. In her bronze medal match, Alyssa was down in points but with a few good leg attacks and a couple near pin situations she was putting the pressure on, but ended up getting pinned but not before many escapes and reversals! Congratulate Ayllsa on her antique bronze medal! To all the wrestlers on the team, It has been a long season with many injuries, wins, losses and lessons learned. Way to go to all of you. Mrs Vanheule and Mr. Parent are very "Lancer" proud of all of you.
