The boys and girls curling teams played in Chatham Friday night against two experienced St.Patrick’s teams. The boys managed to hold on in the final end to win 6-2. The player of the game was Eric W. The girls lost a tough game, 5-1. Player of the game was Ruby D.
As part of Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s Day, students will be permitted to wear either red or purple tops this coming Wednesday, February 14th with uniform bottoms. Since St. Valentine is a martyr, red is a liturgically accurate representation of his martyrdom. Furthermore, purple is liturgically accurate for Ash Wednesday.
A reminder that The Blessed Sacrament Knights of Columbus Council 1412 would like to invite all Grade 12s who plan to attend post secondary to enter this year's Poetry Contest for a chance to win a $500 Bursary. Students are asked to write a maximum of a one page poem with the theme of: Called to Love as Jesus does.

The senior girls volleyball team will host St. Pat's this Tuesday (that is TOMORROW) here at UCC in the LKSSAA semi final game. Game time will be approx. 6:00 pm, or whenever the juniors are finished. Come on out and support the girls by being loud and Lancer proud!
