Thanks for participating in yesterday's Student Vote. The results are in!

UCC reelected Progressive Conservative MPP Trevor Jones yesterday with 29% of the vote. The Liberals came in second with 22% of the vote and the NDP came in third with 19% of the vote. This mimics the results of the General election.

Combining our votes with over 1800 schools from across Ontario, students would have elected a Progressive Conservative Minority Government, although it was VERY close. The Conservatives won by only 1185 votes (out of a 1/4 million cast) and the 2nd and 3rd place NDP and Liberals were effectively tied. This goes to show that every vote counts and your voice matters.

We know you all have busy schedules, but trust us—you won’t want to miss this.
