Any students in grade 10, 11 or 12 writing the OSSLT on May 18th are strongly encouraged to pick up a prep booklet from the main office, if you haven't done so already. If you haven't written this year please let Mr. Baggio or Ms. Magliaro know as soon as possible. May 18th is the last date to write.
OECTA St. Clair Secondary Unit is offering a scholarship to graduating senior students. Students who apply must be considering the field of education at an accredited Ontario University. Criteria for selection will include academic achievement, volunteer work, service to community and school activities. Applications are due: June 10, 2022. Please see Ms Mrnik in the Guidance for further information.

The Senior Girls soccer team won both league games last week against Sarnia rivals. The squad beat St. Pat's 5-0 on goals from Bella R, Abby S, Sadie P and two from Sierra L. Elliot C, and Bella R shared the shutout. The Lancers followed that up with a great 3-0 win against Northern on Thursday. Lucie M had two and Sadie B scored her first of the season. Elliot C recorded the shut out. The team continued playing Friday with a 2-1 record at the Tilbury tournament, beating ESPC 1-0 on a goal from Lucie M, and beating Tecumseh St. Anne's 3-2 on two penalty shots from Lucie M. Sadie P had one. Jordan N won the Team award. Great work Lancers. The squad plays at CK on Friday.

UCC should be proud of their Senior Badminton athletes at OFSAA this past week. All 8 players in the tournament played exceptionally well over the first 2 days competing against players from all over Ontario. Special congratulations to the doubles team of Seb and Nico M for capturing silver medals in the C Finals and a huge shout out to Samantha L who won the gold medal in the B Final of the Ladies Singles. Both matches were completed on Saturday at St. Clair College. Thanks to the entire badminton team, all the coaches and support staff for their help in a hugely successful badminton season. There not be practice today but....return all borrowed goggles to the badminton coaches ASAP.
On Friday night, the Senior Boys Soccer team took on cross town rivals CK in a tough fought game at CK. After going down by a goal, the Lancers responded by scoring off a set piece, which was put in by Keegan K. The Lancers battled through, and on a beautiful give and go, Rees E put the Lancers ahead 2-1 with 5 minutes left in the game. It was a lead they would not give up. It was a strong performance all around by the squad. The Senior Boys play McGregor away on Wednesday. Go Lancers!!!
