It is hard to believe but we have just past the half way point of the 2018-2019 school year. Final exams are complete and report cards will be distributed in the coming days. All the hard work for the past five months is over and a new semester with a new timetable is under way. New teachers, new curriculum and new learning opportunities! It is a great chance to start fresh again.
One of the highlights of the semester turnover is the UCC Open House. We extended an invitation to all grade eight students and their parents on January 31st. We filled the UCC theatre with guests interesting in learning about all the exciting opportunities UCC has to offer. With over 60 staff in attendance, it was a great night promoting why UCC is the place to be!
So as we settle into February, our students will continue to have rich learning experiences and exciting extra curricular opportunities. I encourage families to keep in touch with the school, their child’s classroom teachers and participate where they can. The new semester has a lot to offer and the time will pass quickly.
