Any students who are interesting in building things and winning cash prizes can sign up for the Professional Engineers of Ontario's annual competition. Teams of 4 design and build a solution to a mystery problem under the supervision of a practicing engineer. The competition takes place at CKSS on Saturday, March 30th. The Boys Hockey Team captured the its' first ever LKSSAA championship Friday by defeating CK 4-0. The boys capped a dominant season by owning puck possession, being relentless on the forecheck, and the superb goaltending of Owen Lemieux, who earned the shutout. Chandler Glassford got the Lancers on the board in the 2nd period. After a tense first 2 frames, Daniel Fraleigh's 2 goals in the third pulled the Boys ahead for good, and captain Zach Van Boxtel's empty net goal was the icing on the cake. Come out tomorrow to Ericksson Arena to watch the Boys in the SWOSSAA final at 2:30 against Villanova. There will be a $2 gate for students. Go Lancers go!

Don’t forget Me to We is hosting this tournament for a great cause, our goal is to raise enough money to build a school in India where students don’t have the opportunity to learn and get out of poverty. If your fourth period teacher has signed up your class to spectate at the event, don’t forget to bring in your toonie to support the build a school campaign
The Rainbow Alliance will be meeting today in Room 104. Grades 11 and 12 will be gathering during the 1st lunch, and grades 9 and 10 during 2nd lunch. This will be our first meeting of semester two; we always welcome new members!
Congratulations goes out to the cast and crew of “Tracks” as they took home many awards last night during the closing of the National Theatre School Drama Festival.
UCC’s play received an award of merit for set design and costumes, a directing award for Jack Debresser-Knowler and an award of excellence for ensemble acting. The outstanding stage management award went to Bennett Mitchell and “Tracks” also claimed the top prize of Outstanding Production. The cast and crew moves on to the regional festival competition in Hamilton. Congrats and thanks to everyone involved!
