Any students who are interesting in building things and winning cash prizes can sign up for the Professional Engineers of Ontario's annual competition. Teams of 4 design and build a solution to a mystery problem under the supervision of a practicing engineer. The competition takes place at CKSS on Saturday, March 30th. To all students traveling to Spain and Portugal this March break:
Please be at the flag pole out front tomorrow at 4 pm sharp with your passport in hand. Be sure to have your luggage weighed and check in with Ms Doher, before boarding the bus. You are allowed to bring snacks on the bus for the trip to Toronto or to purchase dinner in the airport. Stop by room 201 if you have misplaced your Explorica luggage tag, as all luggage needs to have that specific tag to identify you as part of the group.

The Boys Hockey Team lost a heartbreaker in the SWOSSAA final yesterday. Villanova scored with 0.9 seconds left to win the game 4-3. The boys showed incredible heart, resilience and got the home crowd rocking with their tenacity, big goals, and outstanding goaltending by Owen Lemieux. Daniel Fraleigh, Matt Gaudrault and Chandler Glassford all scored for the Lancers, and captain Zach Van Boxtel had 2 assists. A big thanks goes out to Mr. Morkin for patrolling the gate, to Mr. Phaneuf for giving us more cowbell, and to the many teachers and students who supported us throughout the year. Lancer loud, Lancer proud!

There are a few teams left trying to get their money and forms in for dodgeball. Several teams have secured their spot, way to go Lancers! For the remaining teams, there is no guarantee that you will have a spot in the tournament if your money and forms are not in by today. Those classes who have signed up to watch a great event, don’t forget to bring in you toonie to buy out of fourth period Friday and buy into a great cause, we are raising money to build a school in India to help children get out of poverty.
