This week, we want to continue to reflect on something truly important: kindness. It's a word we hear often, but its impact can be profound. Kindness isn't just about being polite; it's about genuine empathy, compassion, and a willingness to reach out to others, especially those who might be struggling or feeling left out. In the Catholic faith, kindness is more than just a good idea – it's a reflection of God's love for us. Jesus taught us to "love one another as I have loved you". This love is expressed through acts of kindness, both big and small. Think about the Good Samaritan, who didn't just walk by someone in need, but stopped to offer help. This parable reminds us that kindness isn't reserved for our friends or those we know well; it extends to everyone.

Want to spread some positivity and brighten someone's day? Then get ready to STICK WITH KINDNESS! We're introducing UCC’s Sticky Note Kindness campaign! Hopefully you are looking at a sticky note right now with an inspirational quote on your desk. Keep it for yourself, give it away or leave it at your desk for the next person today. Let's flood our school with kindness and make everyone feel appreciated! Let's show the world what Lancer spirit is all about! Today’s kindness thought is…Check in with someone who is struggling. Say a kind word to someone who looks down.

The junior girls volleyball team took on the hawks on Friday night! The ladies took their game to 5 sets, unfortunately losing in the 5th set in a very close match. The lucky charm for the evening was Adyson T. for her stellar defensive maneuvers and quick hands. To the team, thank you for an incredible season. You are all incredible athletes and Mrs. Bos, Ms. Peats, Mr. Biskey, Ethan and Christian are so incredibly proud of you. Come hungry and ready to cook next season! Way to go ladies!

The team waits to see who they play on Thursday for the SWOSSAA championship. Stay tuned for details! Congratulations ladies - Phaneuf and Sanford are so proud of you!
