Attention graduating students. If you have been involved in school clubs, teams or service activities, and have maintained a good academic standing, you are invited to apply for the Lancer Award. This award recognizes your contributions to UCC over the last 4 years. Applications may be picked up in room 601, or in the guidance office. The deadline for submissions is May 30th....so do not wait until the last minute! Please see Ms. Milligan if you have any questions!
The Lancer Baseball team won its opener 11-3 against the Golden Hawks on Tuesday. Garrett Day pitched 4 outstanding innings giving up just one UNEARNED run and Sudden Sam McKinley paced the offense barreling up 2 doubles with he bases loaded for a 5 RBI day. The game scheduled for TODAY at 3 in Wallaceburg has been tentatively moved to 5 O' clock in Dresden, WEATHER PERMITTING. Attention Grade 12 students who applied to college and university. Second semester midterm marks have been uploaded to your OCAS and OUAC accounts. Please check your application files to see that your marks are accurate. If you notice any discrepancies, please see your guidance counsellor.
Applications to be this year's class valedictorian are now available in the guidance office. If you are a graduating student that wishes to represent your class complete your application today! All applications need to be submitted to guidance by Friday May 17th - voting for this year's valedictorian will take place at our Gr.12 Grad Day. See Mr. Matteis in guidance if you are interested in applying.
Prom tickets are now available through cash online only. Students must purchase their tickets online and bring a receipt and signed permission form to Mrs. Sanford in room 203 on senior lunch only. You will then be given a ticket and choose your table.
ALL Grade 12 students who are going to college and university next year are strongly encouraged to apply to the Ontario Student Assistance Program or OSAP. Students can apply online for OSAP beginning this Wednesday, May 1. You must ensure that the parent you are listing on your OSAP application has completed his or her 2018 Income Tax Return as it will be referenced in the application. Even if you think you may not qualify for OSAP, you should apply because your application opens the door to other scholarships, bursaries, grants and loans.
