Hey, have you seen these containers around the school with Andrea's picture on them? They're part of a special project to help our amazing student, Andrea C.! Andrea is a 17-year-old here at Ursuline College who has Angelman's syndrome, which affects her small motor skills. She’s hoping to acquire a pediatric bicycle so she can ride alongside her brothers and sister, and we need your help to make that happen!

We’re collecting aluminum pop can tabs, which will be donated to fund the purchase of her specialized bike. Every tab you contribute brings Andrea one step closer to reaching her goal.

You’ll find containers to drop off your tabs in the cafeteria, Lancer Annex, main office, all staff rooms, guidance, and the LifeSkills room.

Let’s come together as a community to help Andrea make her dream of biking with her family come true! Thank you for your support!

Pink Shirt Day is coming up on Wednesday, Feb 26, and it's a really important day to be a part of. You've probably seen people wearing pink shirts before, but do you know what it's all about?

Pink Shirt Day is a day dedicated to standing up against bullying. It started with a simple act of kindness in a high school where a student was bullied for wearing a pink shirt. Other students decided to show their support by wearing pink too, creating a powerful message of solidarity and showing the victim they weren't alone.

Bullying is a serious issue that affects so many people, and it can have a huge impact on someone's life. It can happen anywhere – in school, online, even in our communities. Pink Shirt Day reminds us that we all have a responsibility to create a kinder, more inclusive environment for everyone.

Wearing a pink shirt with uniform bottoms on Wednesday is a way to show that you stand against bullying. It's a way to show your support for those who have been affected by bullying and to encourage others to speak up and seek help. It sends a clear message that bullying is never okay.

The senior boys basketball team are going going, back back to Ofsaa Ofsaa (sing it like Back to Cali by Biggie if you know that song)

The fellas came away with the SWOSSAA championship last Thursday night in front of a loud and overwhelming Lancer crowd. It is without a doubt that our Lancer fans played a major role in the win! Tez and Taye H., also had a lot to do with the win as they led us in scoring with 16 and 26 points while Tez led us in rebounding as well with 10. They made four 3s each but it was Taye's clutch free throws at the end that tied the game and then took the lead to seal the victory. While the Haddens were exceptional that night the entire team shares in the credit as they gave everything they had to earn Championship. The team is thankful for the fantastic crowd and grateful that none of our Lancers were involved in the poor behaviour after the game. The boys head to Kingston next Sunday for AAA Ofsaa and we will share more information about how you can stream the games when we find out the details.

Come on out TOMORROW after school at William Erickson arena and watch your Lancer girls hockey team take on CKSS in the LKSSAA finals! Go Lancers!
