What does it mean to be a leader? Sometimes, leadership is as simple as choosing kindness when it’s easier to stay silent. This Wednesday, February 25th, is Pink Shirt Day.
The reason we wear pink is to honour the courage it takes to stand up for others. One small act of solidarity can change the entire culture of a school. As you pick out your clothes for Wednesday, ask yourself: How can I be a better version of myself today? Let’s use this Wednesday to practice empathy, use our words to build people up, and show the world that UCC is a place where everyone belongs.
The first meeting of STEAM Club runs Tuesday after school in Room 918. We will start planning our pedal powered, cell-phone charging bike build! See Mrs. Brosseau or Mr. Harrietha is you have any questions.

The senior girls volleyball team hosts the SWOSSAA final TOMORROW here at UCC at 7pm. The team takes on Holy Names in the hopes of punching their ticket to another OFSSAA championship! We need staff and students to come out in their blue and white and be LOUD to help cheer on the team to victory! GO LANCERS!!
The senior boys basketball team won their 4th LKSSAA championship in a row on Saturday night. They doubled their opponents with a score of 76-38. The bench brought incredible energy which translated into enthusiastic play on the floor. DJ P., led the team in scoring with 20 and perimeter defense by holding their best player to only 9 points. Tez H., had 15 and Gibson D., chipped in with 13 points, 20 rebounds and numerous blocked shots. Jon F., also scored 12 points and Tay H., had 11. Next up is Holy Names in Windsor on Thursday. Thanks to all the amazing fans and drummers who came out to support the team! We will need you all again on Thursday.
