Attention Seniors: UCC is seeking applications for Student Trustee. Student Trustee is an elected position working for the St Clair Catholic District School Board. Interested grade 11 or 12 students can apply to a $2500 position representing Catholic students in Chatham-Kent. If you believe that your input would be valuable to the Board and you share a commitment to catholic education, please pick up an application for Student Trustee in the main office.

Attention to all drama students that attended the first meeting of TEACHERS: A ONE ACT PLAY please check the google classroom for an audition form - this form needs to be filled out ASAP so Mrs Fernandes can assign audition roles. For anyone else interested in being part of a one act play that exposes the comedic reality of being a teacher - come up to room 919 (the art room) to grab a script and scan the QR code for more details.

Next Wednesday, Feb. 22 is National PINK SHIRT day. Wear a pink-coloured shirt with your uniform pants to stand against bullying. Let's inspire moments of kindness, empathy and understanding.

Last night a group of Computer Science students from grades 10 to 12 participated in the University of Waterloo Canadian Computing Competition. Congratulations and thank you goes out to all of the students who took part in this year's contest!

ESports battled it out last night in 3 matches of SuperSmash Bros online. They won their first match against the Red Hawks Highschool from Oshawa 2-0. Travis M tried out someone new with his Piranha Plant champ while Keller C gave a shot with a different champ as well, Samus. Both players put up a good fight but fell short in their last 2 matches of the night. See some of their highlights on Lancer Vision. Wish them luck as they go off to play their final set of matches next Wednesday night.

The Junior Girls Volleyball team play tomorrow in the LKSSAA finals, after defeating Sarnia Northern on Tuesday in three straight sets. The girls play at UCC at 4:30 against the CK hawks, come out and support your lancers!

The senior boys basketball team destroyed the visiting St Pats Irish 90-35 last night in the semi finals. Every lancer scored during the game and Caleb R did a fantastic job running the offense and getting his teammates involved. Jaxen B caught fire and finished with 6 3s and 33 points while CJ R put on a defensive show shutting down the visitors best player. The team next plays in The league championship on Saturday at 7:30. The game takes place at UCC and will cost $5 to get in the doors. Hope to see everyone there.

The Junior boys basketball team took care of business last night, beating St. Pats 59-49. When the team was tested, they showed their strength as a unit to answer back. Next up, we head to Northern on Saturday at 1pm for the LKSSAA championship. Go Lancers!

The Boys Hockey Team won their semi final matchup against Northern last night 4-2. The Lancers had their most complete game of the season when it mattered most - specifically goalie James L making key saves throughout the game. Dacian P.V. got UCC on the board and Casey T potted a beauty at the end of the 2nd. With the score tied 2-2, Gavin M scored the winner with 27 seconds on the clock. Tom B added the insurance marker. The boys will face the winner of St. Pat's and CK in the championship next week. Go Lancers Go!
