We are still looking for nomination submissions for our Student Spotlight. Have you recently created something you’re really proud of? Do you want to showcase something amazing to the Lancer community? Nominate yourself or a peer to be this month’s student spotlight for arts and culture, literacy, STEM, or social justice. Some achievements we look forward to recognizing are…A performance, drawing, or dance for arts and culture. Creative writing projects like short stories and poems. A recent science experiment, an acceptance to a college or university program. A recent accomplishment at a co-op, an outreach project, or an interesting field trip experience in social justice. Whether it be for arts and culture, literacy, STEM, or social justice there are so many accomplishments and talents in our school to celebrate; Let's celebrate them together!

Attention ALL graduating students — our grad ceremony on June 28 is just 8 weeks away! If you wish to attend graduation you must pay the grad fee at school cash online by this Friday May 5th to ensure you have a gown and seats for your family. Grads are also reminded that they must submit their volunteer service hours and exit forms to the guidance office by May 31st. Tickets to graduation will be distributed to students in early June.

Friday, May 5 is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, 2 Spirit, and Gender Diverse People. How can you show support? The Senior Boys soccer team defeated Sarnia Northern last night in a thrilling comeback win. Despite controlling the game the Lancers found themselves down 1-0 at half. Nelson D would eventually find the breakthrough goal, and he would net another one late in the game to lead the Lancers to a 2-1 win. The Senior boys square off with WDSS on Monday. Go Lancers!
