“I Read Canadian Day is the perfect way to celebrate how amazing Canadian authors are! I Read Canadian Day is a national celebration of Canadian books for young adults, with the goal of elevating the genre and celebrating the diversity of Canadian books. Help spread the word that you read Canadian by reading 15 minutes today. Stop by the Lancer Commons to explore our Canadian book displays, check out a Canadian book or answer a Canadian trivia question! Teachers bring your class down to read in the Lancer Commons this week. I Read Canadian Day is Wednesday, Nov. 5th. Hope to see you in the Lancer Commons!

Happy Wednesday Lancers. Treat yourself to something special from Lancer Brew today. Our Chocolate Chai and hot apple cider are perfect for this cool weather. We also have caramel apple refreshers, teas, and fresh coffee. Don’t forget to order some banana bread or cookies after announcements.

It’s popcorn day, Lancers! Come to room 807 at lunch for big, delicious movie-style popcorn, only $2 a bag. Both lunches are ready for you. This is a LifeSkills fundraiser, so grab yours, support our students, and enjoy a tasty snack!

Today’s Day of the Dead facts: Every symbol has meaning.

The marigold flower represents the fragility of life and helps guide spirits with its bright colour and scent. Sugar skulls symbolize the sweetness of life, and candles represent light on the souls’ journey. These traditions teach us to honour those we’ve lost with joy, gratitude, and hope.

Today is the day Lancers! Your junior and senior girls basketball teams are hosting LKSSAA semi finals here tonight beginning at 5:30! Juniors tip off first followed by the seniors at 7pm.

Doors open at 4:45.

Let's fill the stands and show them what being a lancer is all about!

Goooooo lancersssss!!

reminder to all united alliance members, new and old, we are not meeting today after school but will meet next week

Next Wednesday, the United Alliance will be meeting to begin planning and implementing a school-wide initiative that supports our school boards zero tolerance policy for discrimination and racism here at UCC.

We’re inviting students from all backgrounds and experiences — including those with both visible and invisible diversities — to join us in this important work.

Your voice matters, and together we can make a lasting impact in the halls of UCC.

Join us next Wednesday in room 919 — everyone is welcome!

Attention all esports members! Our super smash bros season kicks off tonight, so be sure to check your email for all the final details.

A reminder to all students attending the 530 junior or 7 o’clock senior girls basketball game tonight that there will be a two dollar student charge or three dollar adult charge at the gate. A reminder that no backpacks are allowed in the gym. This leaves, lots of room for the energy, the noise, and as always go blue!
