Cans, Paper, Plastic, That itchy sweater you got from that weird family member. All have one thing in common. They should be recycled and so should your batteries. Drop off your used batteries outside the greenhouse or room 909. Because unlike itchy sweaters, batteries can hurt the environment.

The Environmental Club is excited to announce our new initiative aimed at promoting sustainability and environmental consciousness within our community: Battery Recycling!

Did you know that improperly disposed of batteries can lead to hazardous waste leakage, soil contamination, and pose serious threats to our environment? By recycling batteries, we not only prevent these harmful outcomes but also contribute to conserving valuable resources.

How Can You Participate?

Simply drop off your used batteries at Room 909 or deposit them in the designated box outside the greenhouse. Your small act can make a big difference! Let's work together to create a greener, cleaner future for our community and the planet. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to sustainability!

A huge congratulations goes out to all members of United Alliance and especially to Fini and Fife B., Christina John and Kara Lemak. United Alliance hosted the first-ever panel event for Black History Month with four amazing innovators and community leaders speaking to our staff and students. Your event sparked a meaningful discussion, celebrating black heritage, recognizing today's excellence, and paving the way for UCC's future growth with inclusive and diverse thinking. Great job on creating a platform that acknowledges and promotes diversity within the school community! Anyone interested in joining United Alliance and being part of this ground breaking group is to meet next wednesday in 919 !

The Boys Hockey season came to a close last night in the LKSSAA Final with a 5-3 loss. The score was not indicative of the way the Lancers played as the boys carried play throughout the game. Cohen K., potted 2 goals and Ty L., scored to make it interesting late. In the face of adversity, the boys only worked harder and played with the tenacious character they displayed all season. Thanks to all the staff and students who were able to make the early start.
