Attention Lancers! Election season is upon us once again!
UCC will be participating in Student Vote Canada during period 1 on Friday, April 25th.
Students, each morning on the announcements, we will present a profile on one of the local candidates running in Chatham-Kent-Leamington. Keep an eye out around the school for candidate campaign signs and posters.
Teachers, we recommend taking the time to have your classes fill out CBC's online voting compass to help students make an informed decision. On election day, our student helpers will come around during period 1 to direct your classes to a polling station in the cafeteria.
Shoutout to Mr Whyte's and Mr Phaneuf's period 1 classes, and Mr Broadbent's period 4 class for volunteering to help organize this event.
UCC family - let's go to the polls together on Friday, April 25th!

Did you know that more than 30 percent of the waste sent to landfills in Ontario is compostable? Compostable waste in landfills results in unnecessary greenhouse gas emissions.
UCC Composts is starting a "green bin" program here at the school. There will be compost buckets placed around the school starting next week. Signs will be posted to remind you about what materials are compostable. No plastics, no bones, no napkins, no cans. Let's do our part and show that UCC cares for the environment.
