Dear Families,
It is my pleasure, on behalf of the staff of Georges P. Vanier Catholic School, to welcome you to the 2011-2012 school year. I would like to extend a special welcome to all new staff and families.
This year, as in the past, every decision made at Georges P. Vanier, no matter how large or seemingly trivial, will be aligned with our Mission Statement:
"Georges P. Vanier is a school in which the life and Gospel of Christ are integrated into the entire curriculum and life of the school. We are committed to a partnership where the school, family and parish act in collaboration to raise the level of student achievement by developing each child’s spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional and physical abilities to their fullest potential."
We look forward to working with you to create a school environment through the “Tribes” process that fosters mutual cooperation, emotional support and personal growth. Our focus this year will be in the four main areas of Catholicity, Literacy, Numeracy and Discipline.
Together we have been entrusted by God to nuture our children in a positive, faith filled learning environment. Let’s continue to work as a team to accomplish this goal!
