Learning at Home

“ All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.”
1 Corinthians 12:27

Beautiful Hands What will your beautiful hands do today?
Our Principal
Liz Gibson, Principal

Dear Families,

Welcome to a new school year as the new St. Ursula community.   There are many exciting adventures awaiting our students this year. We look forward to partnering with families and the church throughout the year. We’ll deepen our faith through examining the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations each month. These expectations define our purpose as Catholic educators & learners.  They provide a compass for our students as they develop through their elementary and secondary education. We are called to nourish the giftedness of each individual and to protect the dignity of the whole person. We work, live and believe in an atmosphere of inclusiveness and we are taught to cherish our role as global stewards.  Families can see a visual representation of the expectations when you visit the school in the front foyer.

We’ll continue the relationship building started in June, through the transition activities, with our #OneBody Wellness campaign. St. Teresa of Avila shares her faithful words that we are Christ’s hands and feet on earth. We are called to act compassionately and justly in our interactions with others. Our Wellness Team student leaders will  work with the students and staff to lead activities to encourage students to show kindness, act with compassion and demonstrate justice with one another to contribute to a positive, faith-filled and inclusive community.

The staff of St. Ursula Catholic School is committed to fostering conditions for a high quality Catholic education. We hope that through a positive partnership with home and church, our students will grow and succeed.  Working together, we will form an effective team.

We look forward to working with you and hope that you will be involved with your child(ren)’s education this coming school year. As always, please contact your child’s teacher or the office if you have any questions.

If you missed our kinderSTARt event … don’t worry!  You still have plenty of time to register. Parents and guardians can now submit the Kindergarten registration form directly online!

It’s another option for you – choose the option that best suits you!

  • Visit the Board website at www.st-clair.net to complete then submit the registration form online.  You will be contacted by the school to confirm your registration.
  • Or, download the registration form to Adobe PDF, complete then email to admissions@st-clair.net.

Privacy Advisory

Our families and staff enjoy opportunities to share some of their activities with parents and the school community through teams, clubs and special events. Many of these are ‘memory making’ for families and as such, photographs and videos are often taken.

We ask that families exercise their discretion when taking photographs or videos at school events and consider the privacy of other students who may also be present in those pictures. We would appreciate if families not upload images of students other than their own to the Internet (e.g. YouTube or Facebook). Your cooperation with this request is appreciated.
