Ursuline College Chatham

2020/2021 Message

Water is essential for all the dimensions of life. It’s in our organs, brain, skin, bones, it provides nourishment to living things, as well as pathways to travel throughout the world. However, it can also place us in peril through natural disasters and uncontrollable waves. Pope Francis has said that, “Christ helps us to navigate the tumultuous waters of pain, injustice, and death.” This year, our school aims to grow in faith during these challenging times by committing ourselves to the Serenity Prayer.

God give me grace,

to accept with serenity the things I cannot change;

courage to change the things I can;

and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time.

This prayer has helped millions of individuals welcome Christ into the unpredictable waters of their life. The outcome has allowed them to experience life fully being in the present moment. Cast your anchor with Christ this year, and journey with us towards acceptance, courage, and wisdom.
