Historical Perspective Each year a major
play is produced. All departments are involved in this endeavor, from stage managers to building
stage props. The play runs several days and offers a dinner theatre on the last day of production. Dinner
is prepared and served by staff and students alike. Students participate in the yearly Sears Festival
and have won top honors in year 2001, 2002,2003 and 2004.The 2003 production "The Rash" won locally for best festival entry
and went on to win the quote "Oscars" in Sudbury. We are extremely proud of all students and staff that
dedicate countless hours preparing for their productions. At the first ever Ontario Drama Festival,
UCC chose to write a play "Left Out".
In 2004 two new programs were added to the Arts. First ever "IMPROV"
and "Ursuline Idol", both proved to be a great
success. Improv "Man without Pants" went on to win in Toronto. |
