The Girls Ice Hockey team played two very hard fought games against some stiff competition yesterday. They are looking to build on that momentum for their two games today. Natalie Bray got the Lady Lancers off the mark with her goal against the Ingersoll Blue Bombers, while Cassie Whiteye had a pair of sweet snipes against the Kincardine Knights. Go Lancers!!!! (05)

Lancer Basketball started the regular season with 2 wins against St Pat's in their season opener. The Senior Lancers won 61-50 and were lead on offence by Dylan McGregor and on defence by Jean (John) Hakiza. Nakoma Scott and Quinton Emerick both had great games too. The Junior Lancers won by a score of 65-27. The team played good half court defence allowing them to run the floor and burn St Pat's in the fast break. Darion Basic-Hadden lead the team on both ends of the floor and Aiden Lutes had one of his best all around games in the past 2 years. (5)

The Junior Girls Volleyball team had a successful opening to their league last night in Sarnia. They won 7 out of 8 sets and showed themselves to be a competitive team. Lauren Pittuck showed a strong presence on the court and had great sets. Adele Culverwell and Candace Newman had fierce attacks and consistent passes, while Camryn McDougall and Celia Nogueira lead the team with aggressive serves. Excellent start to the season ladies! (5)
