The senior girls volleyball team started their season off last night undefeated in league play. The girls played four matches, defeating Northern, St. Pat's, Great Lakes and LCCVI, holding most teams to under 10 points. Team MVP of the night went to Emma Nicholson, for her point-winning hits and long serving streaks. The team travels to General Amhurst this Saturday for their day-long tournament. Good job ladies! Congrats to the Girls Ice Hockey team who had a strong day Wednesday racking up three wins on their way to winning their division championship at the Crusader Cup in London and bringing home some hardware!!! It was a great start to the season with several Lancers getting on the board, winning the final 5-0 over Manitoulin and Ainslie Watson shutting the door for the shutout! Go Lancers!!!! (7)
The boys hockey team fell short to a hard working Wallaceburg Tartan team. The Lancers played well with a number of chances to climb back into the game but it was not enough. The goal scorers were Sam McKinley and Anthony Lucarelli. Player of the game wearing the Rudolph hat went to Sam McKinley. Thoughts and prayers go out to a Wallaceburg Tartan who we hope will make a speedy recovery. (7)
