Have you ever wanted to learn to create your own hats, scarves, blankets, etc.? Now's your opportunity to learn this skill or share what you know! We're looking for knitters and crocheters from beginner to advanced to join our club.Sign up sheet in the library at the front desk. Volunteers are needed to help run an afternoon event at St.Paul's church on Park Ave West.  The day is Saturday, December 1st, for only a couple of hours 3:30-5:30pm.  For more information contact Shelley at 519-784-0891 (Read only Wednesdays until Dec 5)

Eclectic Java #9 (the coffee house for all kinds of music) will be on November 16.  Auditions are November 5-9. We'd love to hear both new and repeat performers. Sign up on the music board by the foods room, or look for posters to see how to sign up online. (11)

Have you always wanted to see Bonhomme Carnaval in person? or have the chance to go dog sledding, visit a sugar shack or downhill ski for the first time??? Maybe a little snowtubing at the largest Tubing resort in North America?? This Feb 7th to 10th, 2019  our Quebec city Carnaval trip is open to all students from grade 9's to 12 Students from St- Pat's high school will be joining us...so DONT DELAY!!! Tyler Shumanski , Cody Boulley, Logan Stefina and Brandon Benoit all scored first half touchdowns in last nights Jr. football game against L'Essor in Windsor. Stefina added 4 extra point converts and tacked on a 3rd quarter touchdown for good measure. The Lancer D smothered the opposition offence allowing just 30 yards of offence and just 2 first downs. The boys in blue take on one of the provinces top teams next week when they travel to Windsor Holy Names. Go Blue! (11)

ATTENTION ALL UCC LANCERS! Do you love to play dodgeball? If so, listen up! UCC will be hosting a Halloween Dodgeball Tournament on October 25th, during period 4. 3 junior teams and 5 senior teams are required to sign up. The sign up sheet is hung up outside of the gym doors, so get there quickly before all spots are filled! Make sure you get your forms signed and back to Mrs. Dunlop ASAP. See you there! (12)

Once again the Lancer tennis team represented UCC with class and effort.  10 players competed against some tough competition from the north at the LKSSAA finals in Sarnia yesterday.  All players worked hard but only two advance to SWOSSA next week.  Congrats to Kali Harris and Simon Brecka for finishing in the top 4 yesterday.  Practice resumes on Monday, all players are welcome. Garret Day shot a 79 on a tough course in Whitby yesterday.  After one day he is within 9 shots of the lead at OFSAA golf.  His last round is this morning.  (11)

To all the grade 12 students participating in the 24 Hours of Service; please have your permission forms in no later than today. We will be meeting in the Chapel after school, at 2:30 tomorrow.  (11)
