Attention students interested in attending college next fall:

 The College Information Program (C-I-P) will be in Chatham on Monday, October 15th from 5 to 7 pm at St. Clair College.  Meet with college representatives who can answer your questions about program offerings, admissions requirements, OSAP and campus life. (15)

Attention students interested in attending university next fall: 

A representative from the University of Western Ontario will be here on Tues. Oct 16th during period one. You MUST sign up in guidance at least the day before the presentation if you wish to attend. (15)

PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT

To grade 11 and 12 students and their parents or guardians: Please be reminded that Parent Information Night is Thursday, October the 18th  in UCC's theatre from 6:30- 830pm.  The following topics will be included in the discussions:  

          ·         general information about colleges and universities, applications, OSAP , scholarships, awards, residence

          ·         tips on how to properly handle your finances and how to choose a university or college that is right for you   (18)

All members of the Charlie Brown Christmas in Muskoka play must be at the dance rehearsal this Tuesday in the dance studio.  If you cannot attend, please see Ms. Mitchell in room 202.  All member of the Christmas in Muskoka play are to be at rehearsal this Tuesday. (16)

Pedagape will be meeting today in room 919 immediately after school to work on prayer bracelets and mat weaving, old and new members always welcome. (15)

The Creative Music Group will meet after school today in room 816.  Everyone is welcome. (15)

The senior boys volleyball team went 3-1 in pool play at McMaster University Friday.  They were eliminated from making the playoffs as they finished pool play in a 3-way tie for first and were out on point spread.  It was a tough ending for the Lancers who had just defeated the eventual tournament champions Oakville Trafalger.  Players of the tournament were Zach Myers, Kyle Wammes and Luke Smolders.(15)

Still love going out on Halloween?  Trick or treat this year for non-perishable food items. Sign up for We Scare Hunger in the caf starting this Wednesday.  Long Sleeve T's are available through cash on line this week only. (15)

Dressdown day is this Wednesday! Well, only for those who purchased a ticket... Buy your ticket online tonight! Student cards will be distributed tomorrow during period 1 with a sticker on it if you purchased your dress down day tickets online. You cannot dress down on Wednesday without purchasing tickets. Staff will be around Wed. to check! All proceeds go to charity. On behalf of your Student Council we thank you for participating! For those who cannot pay online for Dressdown Day, you can pay $15 cash tomorrow both lunches. That will pay for all Dressdown days for the year and you will get your sticker to go on your student card. One day only! $15 cash at lunch in the new cafeteria.

Wrestling practices start next week Monday & Wednesday October 22nd and 24th in the main cafeteria. Sign up in room 306. (19)

Girls interested in playing Ice Hockey for UCC are asked to sign the sign up sheet on the wall by the main door of the gym. The sign up sheet will be up for the next few days for all of those interested. (15)

Congratulations to the Senior Girls Basketball Team.  They won their first two games on Friday at St. Mike's in Stratford.  Saturday they lost a tough semi-final game to the host team by two in over-time.  The girls continue league play this week at home on Tuesday against Wallaceburg and at St. Pat's on Thursday.  Good luck Lancers. There will be a short but important wellness committee today on your lunch period. The meeting will be at 11:05 for the grade 11 and 12 students and 12:20 for the grade 9 and 10 students. The meeting will be held in room 104. Wednesday is the Wellness conference in Dresden. Any student wishing to go are asked to see Mr. Larsh today.  Please let Mr. Larsh know if you are going to the conference sometime today. See you on your lunch! (15)

A reminder to the indigenous leadership group, our next meeting is Tuesday at the beginning of 2nd lunch. We  have a few items to go over so please come to room 506 at the beginning of 2nd lunch. (15)

Have you always wanted to see Bonhomme Carnaval in person? or have the chance to go dog sledding, visit a sugar shack or downhill ski for the first time??? Maybe a little snowtubing at the largest Tubing resort in North America?? This Feb 7th to 10th, 2019  our Quebec city Carnaval trip is open to all students from grade 9's to 12 Students from St- Pat's high school will be joining us...so DONT DELAY!!!
