Last week - the cast and crew of Wisteria hit the road for a 7-hour journey to the Ontario Provincial Showcase—and what followed was nothing short of magical. That evening, Wisteria delivered its most powerful performance yet, taking the audience on an unforgettable journey.
The week was filled with drama workshops, dances, ice cream, new friendships, and inspiring performances from 11 other schools across the province. But the magic didn’t stop there…
At Saturday night’s awards ceremony, Wisteria was celebrated in a big way:
✨ Malachi S., was recognized by the Wayne Fairhead Playwriting Committee as one of the top 5 student playwrights in the province.
🎭 Jaxson K., received an Outstanding Achievement in Acting award.
🏆 And in an incredible moment of pride, Malachi S., was awarded one of only six prestigious MIRA Awards, honouring outstanding student artistry at the provincial level.
Mr. Dula and Mrs. Fernandes send a heartfelt BRAVO to the entire cast and crew for their dedication, professionalism, and contagious joy. UCC, take a bow—you’ve made us proud!
Yearbook club's Tuesday meeting will be moved to Wednesday this week only. See you then!
Over this past weekend, our own Lancers e-sports team competed in Windsor for the Rocket League provincial championships! Gavin H., Lucas R., and Ben C., fought hard in their division against some very tough competition and ended up placing 5th in the province! Great job out there lancers!
