In heartbreaking fashion, the UNDEFEATED UCC LANCERS' baseball season came to a sad and frustrating ending yesterday in Wallaceburg. Trailing 7-2 in the bottom of the 7th of this semi-finals game, the Lancers staged a furious comeback, lead by a 3 RUN BOMB by Kurt C, only to lose 7-6 when the tying runner was thrown out at the plate on a bang bang play to end the game. ALL the players should be commended for a fantastic season.

UCC had 5 tennis players compete at SWOSSAA yesterday in Windsor. Andrew G and Tom B played well in boy's doubles during the day, winning their first two matches then falling in the third. Although playing tough, Jocalin H had her excellent rookie season of girls' singles come to an end with a record of 2 wins and 2 losses. Congratulations to all on making it this far into the season. Samantha L and Mary B continued their perfect season, narrowly beating the team from Tec Vista 8 games to 7, 7-5 in a tiebreaker in the semis before moving on to capture the SWOSSAA crown and qualifying for OFSSA this June. Congrats. Tennis practices will resume in April, please let the coaches know if you cannot attend!

Tonight the Junior Boys soccer team host the LKSSAA finals against Sarnia Northern. Come on out and cheer the boys on as they battle for the LKSSAA crown. Kickoff is at 4pm. Goooo Lancers!
